Here are some fishing photos, to prove some of the most enjoyable fishing can be found in the Yukon.
These lake trout were caught at Quiet Lake, about 2 hours southeast of Whitehorse.

Anna holding a lake trout over 26" long. The rules say you can keep anything under 26" and over 39"....so this one had to be let go. For the benefit of the Aussies...NO!!!... Anna did not kiss it before she released it....

The rig used to fish lake trout is called a "downrigger". The rig has an 8lb steel ball attached to a line which is lowered to the depth the fish prefer and the fishing line is attached by a quick release clip which springs free when the fish takes the bait.
